Salt Lake Comic Con Review

My plan was to randomly interview people during Comic Con on Saturday and post it as a podcast today. Somewhere along the line, my phone decided to delete it. So you're getting a regular post full of pictures.

I did everything I could in this pic to hide the nasty fry sauce stain on my t-shirt. Ugh.

So there was that time I got touched by a Weeping Angel...

But thankfully my wife and were just sent into the TARDIS. It wasn't as big on the inside as I expected. But still, I loved being able to take a pic with a TARDIS. Speaking of TARDIS, if you can find Julie Wright's pic of "Jane Austen in the TARDIS" it's pretty cool. And speaking of Julie...

And then there was that time when my wife and I found Julie Wright like this, while Brandon Mull was bragging about how many fans he had. (Note: Julie found this funny and was so excited that we could take a picture like this. You gotta admit, it is pretty awesome.)

On Saturday, Tyler and I ran into a couple of interesting people. I'm glad I wasn't eaten by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. But fyi, this was the most convincing Captain Jack Sparrow I have ever seen.

I'm not sure what to think of Tyler's costume here as I've never seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog. But he does a convincing job. This 14-year-old girl came up to him in the biggest fan girl way to get a pic with him. It was kinda cute. Then I became his personal cameraman....not so cute anymore.

Even though I was hoping to get a pic with someone else, I spotted Mega Man and had to get a pic with my favorite video game character.

I got to meet the Riddler and the Penguin (and live to tell about it.) I was looking for a Catwoman, but the only one I found was with a semi-deflated looking Batman. So I felt awkward saying "Could I have a pic with your wife?"

Joe and I saw Sub-Zero and Scorpion with our friends Adam and Paul.

And the four of us stopped at the cantina in Mos Eisley along with my wife.

Oh and I got to meet Avatar Aang! Although, he does look an awful lot like my friend Paul...

But one of the cool things I got to do was ride the Frontrunner. I haven't been able to do that yet and was able to do so finally on Friday and Saturday. On my way home Saturday I had an awesome conversation with this guy named Brodie (or it's Brody). He said he may read my blog today so I'm sending him a shout out.

Alien abductions are involuntary, but probings are scheduled.
